Reds must be more ruthless

The Reds need to convert more of the chances they are creating if they're to turn draws into wins says the England striker.

"We've had a couple of blips recently - obviously Wigan was frustrating - and we need to get back to winning games, hopefully starting tomorrow at Middlesbrough," he said.

"I don't know if it is a loss of form as such though.

"If you think back to the Wigan game we were the better team and we controlled pretty much the entire game.

"But Titus Bramble managed to score one and the game finished 1-1 and it's obviously frustrating, but it's more about us needing to kill teams off than a loss of form.

"Against Luton we went 1-0 up and I think we needed to hold on to that lead for longer than we did and maybe score more goals.

"That's been the problem for the last few weeks."
