Alonso scored the winner as Liverpool beat Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season in one of their best performances of the campaign to date. The Reds will need another game like that one if they're to beat Arsenal at the Emirates believes the midfielder.

"Hopefully it will give us more confidence going to places like the Emirates," he said.

"The win at Stamford Bridge came after a good performance - we fully deserved it. We will have to repeat this kind of performance if we want to win at the Emirates. Hopefully we're ready for this.

"They are a very attacking side. Whoever is playing up front, whether it's Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri or Robin van Persie, it will be tough.

"The Emirates is a tough stadium to play at. They play good football at home but we have enough quality to stop them and be good in attack as well."
