The Reds have conceded three goals in all five of their pre-season games to date. It's a worrying statistic admits Agger.
"It just wasn't good enough, especially in the first half," said the Dane about Monday's game with Valerenga.
"The second half was okay but it wasn’t what it needs to be.
"The amount of goals we have conceded is definitely not good enough.
"We need to show we can keep a clean sheet and we have got to defend better.
"Kenny has his way of getting his point across.
"He has said himself that we need to be streetwise. That is what we have got to do.
"If you are a footballer, you have to be a perfectionist.
"We are all the same as defenders and so far we just have to admit that the way we have played has not been good enough.
"There is definitely something to work on."
