Reds quartet named in England squad

As expected, Liverpool strike pair Micharel Owen and Emile Heskey have been called into the 24-man squad alongside Anfield midfield duo Steven Gerrard and Danny Murphy.

Jamie Carragher, who may have held hopes of a recall after an impressive start to the Premiership campaign, and goalkeeper Chris Kirkland missed out on selection for the national team.
