Liverpool play Marseille in a win or bust Champions League qualifier tonight. The Reds will face an intimidating atmosphere at the Stade Velodrome but it won't affect the players promises Riise.

"It is going to be a fantastic atmosphere over there but that won't affect us," he told the club's official website.

"We've been fortunate to play in some very big places before. I mean, Besiktas was unbelievable. They kept bouncing up and down, screaming and singing all the way through the game. We didn't let that bother us - we deserved to win that game.

"Marseille will be the same. They are passionate and know how much this game means, plus Liverpool is a massive team in France. They'll all want be there and kick us out of the tournament.

"But if I was a betting man I would put my money on Liverpool because we have great away form, we have proved ourselves against the best and when we have to win, we do it, especially in the Champions League.

"There have been so many games where people have expected us to lose, but we've turned it around. I think that's going to happen again."
