Reds refuse Baros loan deal

Pompey are in desperate need of a decent striker if they are to avoid relegation, but Liverpool are not prepared to loan out their Czech star, who is still regaining full fitness after breaking his leg in September.

"I went straight to the horse's mouth and asked if they would be interested in loaning him out," confirmed Portsmouth's chief executive Peter Storrie. "But they said no."
