Michael Owen, looking to end his goal-drought since returning from injury, will be supported by the attacking trio of Harry Kewell, Bruno Cheyrou and Anthony Le Tallec, while Steven Gerrard and Dietmar Hamann will seek to continue their fine form in-front of a solid Liverpool defence that once again contains Anfield stalwarts Stephane Henchoz and Jamie Carragher.
Exciting French striker Florent-Sinama Pongolle makes his return from injury on the substitutes bench, though fellow forward Milan Baros ailed to make the 16 man squad.
