Reds save England

Two late goals from Peter Crouch and Stevie Gerrard saved England's blushes as they struggled to overcome Trinidad & Tobago in today's World Cup game.

England never got going and had to reply on Crouchs 83rd minute far post header to finally defalte the energetic Carribeans. Gerrard had been largely anonymous until he hit a sweet curling left foot shot into the net.

Jamie Carragher, as expected, started at right back while Scott Carson was on the bench.
