In his first diary update, Jerzy says: "Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and I can't believe that I am here. I was happy when I was just playing for a second division club in Poland. I was a semi-professional footballer at the time and I thought things couldn't get better.
"But when you work hard you start believing it's possible to move up the scale. Now playing for a club like Liverpool is wonderful."
