The Polish international keeper is currently number one only due to the injury problems of his young rival Kirkland, and he expects to be displaced once the former Coventry man is ready for a first-team return.
Dudek said: "It's something that has happened before. No-one is happy to sit on the bench but I will do my best for now and see what the future brings.
"Football is about the team not the individual. But we all have to remember lessons from the past."
