Reds star ready to Riise to the occasion

The Reds lack of goals this season is epitomised by the fact that Riise, a left back who has not played regularly this season, stands proudly as the Reds second highest league goalscorer. His impressive six goal tally leaves him just three behind Michael Owen.

The Norwegian is happy to be amongst the goals but he is fully aware of the fact that goals must come from all areas if a side is to be succesful.

He said: "We feel confident in every game we play and we always try to do our best and get a good result. It is nice to score goals but it's not really that important to me. What is important is the team does well and wins.

"Any game is important and we want to win every game. Auxerre is a good team and it will be a very hard game but we will try to do our best and get a good result.

"I think we have played some great football recently without getting the results. We have played against goalkeepers who have had the best games of their lives, but the important thing is we have been creating chances. The goals will come soon."
