Reds take first leg lead

The Reds won the first leg against Toulouse 1-0 thanks to a fine strike from Andriy Voronin on his full debut. The goal was only moment of real quality in a forgettable game.

With the temperature on the pitch in the high nineties and with Toulouse happy to put eleven men behind the ball even when 1-0 down, the game was played like a pre-season friendly.

Although the match was forgettable, the Reds can return happy with the win and no injuries ahead of Sunday's game with Chelsea.
