Reds to benefit from Monaco reprieve

The struggling side had finished in the relegation places in Le Championett this season, but the controversial decision to relegate French giants Monaco on financial grounds had looked likely to offer them an unlikely escape route.

Le Havre's hopes of survival, though, were finally dashed when it was announced that Monaco, who had finished last season as runners-up to champions Lyon, had won their appeal against the decision to demote them.

The news will surely herald the arrival of the highly-rated young stars to Anfield this summer.
