Reds to sign Argentinian

The 17 year old defender was at Anfield to watch the Reds against PSV last night and will sign on loan for the rest of the season before making a permanent switch in the Summer according to Chris Bascombe at the Liverpool Echo.

Insua was part of the Argentina under 20's side that won the recent World Championships at that level.

The presence of Gabriel Paletta at Anfield was no doubt a factor in Insua rejecting both Man Utd and Chelsea to join Liverpool.
