Ref explains decision

Despite both managers believing the game was playable, the referee decided to postpone it because of heavy fog. After he called it off, the referee explained his decision for doing so.

"You have to consider if the assistant referees could see from one side of the ground to the other," said Atkinson.

"They may have had to make a 50-50 decision that could decide the game. It would have been an impossible job for them."
