Referee woe for Keegan

The former England coach - who also found time to find fault with Rafael Benitez's touch-line antics on Saturday, has revealed that many of his side felt Milan Baros's crucial leveller for the hosts was offside.

Keegan said: "I don't want to comment on the referee because it's not worth it but our lads felt Baros came back from an off-side position to score.

"It was an undeserved half time lead for us but Nicolas Anelka made a goal out of nothing but then we conceded a goal just after half time and it changed the match.

"It is always difficult to play Liverpool at Anfield when they are attacking the Kop in the second half and it was tough for us."
