"When you talk about the biggest clubs in the world then Liverpool are right up there," said Reid.
"It's great for the people of Thailand to have Liverpool over here - and in our own stadium it will be like an away game for us.
"We will do our best, but we are in the middle of a break at the moment so haven't been playing much football. It's a great occasion for the players, I just wish I could pick all 25 of them because they all want to be involved.
"Thai fans love their football and that's why this will be such a great occasion."
