Liverpool are up to seventh, their highest position of the season, after last night's home win over the Cottagers. Although the performance wasn't as good as Saturday's win over Wolves, Reina was pleased to see the Reds show their battling qualitites as well.

"Fulham are a really competitive team and are well organised. It was a massive three points for us," said the keeper.

"Sometimes you need a little bit of luck and we certainly deserved this bit of fortune with the goal.

"They pushed us hard right until the end and put us under a lot of pressure but we defended well and I thought we were pretty solid overall.

"It's nice to keep two clean sheets in a row and it's very important.

"A good team is built from the back and having a strong backline, and if you have this then you will have more chances to win more games."
