The Liverpool goalkeeper played his 200th game for the Reds yesterday and predictably celebrated it with another clean sheet. He also earned the praise of his manager.

"To play 200 games for Liverpool is a massive figure," said Benitez.

"I am really pleased for him and hopefully he can play 200 more which will be very good for us.

"Pepe is a fantastic worker and his mentality on and off the pitch is really good. He is always training very hard and trying to improve every day. He is a very good professional.

"The goalkeeper, especially in a top side, is important because normally you are attacking and he will be involved in the game just one or two times.

"If he can make a great save and keep you in the game that is massive for the rest of the season."
