Reina is confident of finding his form again and says he will work hard to do just that.
"Things aren't working out as I had hoped this season. Last year was better for me, but there is still plenty of time for me to get back to the form I was showing then," said the Spaniard.
"I feel a bit jinxed at the moment because I am making mistakes that I have never made before in my career but that is the way football is and I am fighting to end this bad run.
"I know I don't have a 'job for life' and if Rafa Benitez decides to change things I will accept it and continue fighting for my place, but he has not said anything about a change of keeper so far.
"I am a born fighter. I have had bad times before. I am always open to criticism. I am concerned, but I can only assure supporters that I am the same keeper as last season."
