Reining in the rumours

The player added that he was happy at Liverpool, and is not homesick, as some stories have suggested.

He said, "As the manager keeps saying, we don't know where these stories keep beginning. I'm really happy here at Liverpool. It's a big club and I have a good relationship with all the people. I have two and a half years left of my contract, so I'm in no hurry."
 
He added, "I don't know if now is the right time to be talking about a contract because I like to focus just on the games. There will be plenty of time to do this. I'm not homesick. Obviously there are things in Spain we all miss because our family and friends are all back there, but that's normal." 
     
"The beginning of the season wasn't the best for us, but we always said it would improve. The schedule wasn't easy for us. It seemed we had to go to all the most difficult stadiums first. But now we're playing more away games where we know the chances of winning for us are much better," he concluded.
