Reserves beaten

Paul Harrison played his first game in goal since returning from a month's loan spell at Leeds and was the Reds' best player on the night.

Reserve regulars Jon Welsh, Darren Potter, Zak Whitbread, Ritchie Partridge and David Mannix all featured as well as Jon Ostemobor and Anthony Le Tallec but were second best to Man Ure all night.

Liverpool suffered an injury blow when Josemi limped off with a knock five minutes before half time. It is hoped that the injury is not serious and the subsitution was just a precaution.
