Reserves beaten

Last night's team was missing many of its regulars due to the Under 21's internationals but the likes of Darren Potter and David Raven were available. Djimi Traore also played 45 minutes as he made his comeback from injury.

Liverpool's young side played well enough but were guilty of not taking their chances; Traore and Ryan Wilkie both going close for the Reds before Wolves took the lead on 35 minutes.

Darren Potter and Ryan Wilkie on a couple of occasions came close to equalising before Wolves added a second despite some good saves from Paul Harrison in the Liverpool goal.
