Gary Ablett's side came from behind twice to draw 2-2 away to Wigan thanks to goals from Victor Palsson and Vincent Weijl. The draw means the reserves are now unbeaten in six games.

Wigan took the lead on the half hour mark after Martin Kelly brought down Callum McManaman in the penalty area. McManaman himself converted the spot-kick.

It was a short lived lead for Wigan as Liverpool drew level after a minute. Jay Spearing burst forward and played a through ball to Krisztian Nemeth. His initial shot was saved but Palsson was on hand to slot in the rebound.

Wigan regained the lead a minute before half time. Won Hee Cho crossed the ball into the box and former Liverpool Academy player Jon Routlege slotted home.

Liverpool equalised ten minutes into the second half. Spearing had a fierce shot palmed away but again the Reds were first to the rebound, this time Weijl putting away the loose ball.

Both teams had chances to win the game with Dean Bouzanis making a couple of good saves in the Liverpool goal while Nemeth, Daniel Pacheco and subsitute Lauri Dalla Valle all came close for the Reds but in the end a draw was a fair result.
