Reserves draw

John McMahon's side drew their latest pre-season friendly against Alan Hansen's old club at the Firhill Stadium last night. Nathan Ecclestone gave the reserves the lead after an assist from strike partner Daniel Pacheco. Thistle equalised in the second half.

"It was another good learning curve for the young lads against an experienced team," said McMahon.

"They did well and kept trying to play good football. Pacheco and Eccleston did well in attack and were always lively."
