The reserves were held to a 1-1 draw away at Middlesbrough last night but were unfortunate not to take all three points.

Liverpool went 1-0 down when Middlesbrough striker Tom Craddock punched a cross into the net. It was a clear handball but the officials failed to spot it and the goal stood.

The Reds played well with new signings Mikel San Jose, Lucas Levia, Ryan Crowther and Sebastian Leto all impressing. Jack Hobbs captained the side wile Jay Spearing continued where he left off last season by bossing the midfield.

Gary Ablett's side got back on level terms after Ray Putterill levelled from the penalty spot following a handball actually spotted by the ref.
