Reserves lose to Everton

With Neil Mellor ruled out because of an ankle injury, Hugh MacAuley's team struggled against a strong Everton side.

Stephen Gillespie scored Liverpool's goal after good work from Patrik Berger, but Everton equalised before half-time and scored twice in the opening six minutes of the second half to seal a comfortable victory.
