Liverpool reserves hammered Norwegian side Kvic Halden 5-1 in their pre-season tour of Scandanavia yesterday. Man of the match Ryan Flynn scored twice and set up a goal for Emiliano Insua. Craig Lindfield and Jordy Brouwer rounded off the scoring.

We played some really good football and scored five good goals, but we should have won by a lot more," reserve team coach Gary Ablett told liverpoolfc.tv.

"We created enough chances to have won three games, never mind the one. It was difficult conditions as the grass was long but once we got to grips with that we did very well."
