"It was a good learning curve for the young lads against a non-league team and not too many of our players have played in an environment like that," Ablett told the club's official website after the match.
"To be fair to Prescot Cables they gave it a real go and competed well. Daniel scored a superb goal and that was our best moment of the game.
"We looked really tired and jaded towards the end of the game and the pitch was tough to play on, but we now look forward to the final against Marine."
