The reserves got their first league win of the season after two draws by beating Wolves 2-0 at Prenton Park. Winger David Amoo got both goals inside the opening eight minutes and was praised by his manager.
"He took his goals well. We always look for him to get into the box when the ball is out wide on the other wing," said reserve team boss John McMahon.
"We've put more of an emphasis on him to get into positions to score goals and we are pleased with his contribution."
