Goals from Daniel Pacheco and Suso gave the Reds a 2-0 win over Rovers, a win that moved them top of the table.
"I thought we were terrific in the first half," said reserve team boss John McMahon.
"We played some good football and we were bright, inventive and it was pleasing to see Andre Wisdom back in the fold and playing 90 minutes after injury.
"Andre has got a great presence about him. He is six foot plus, he is a good talker and organiser and he leads by example. It is a real boost to have him back."
