The reserves kept their title hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Bolton. Adam Morgan got the winner, the 12th consecutive game he has scored in.

"It was good to get the first victory for us but the most important thing for me was how well we played," reserve team boss Pep Segura told liverpoolfc.tv.

"To win is always fantastic but it's the attitude and application of the players that is the main thing.

"The work of the players has been fantastic in all of the games. We were unlucky to lose to a late goal against Arsenal, we deserved to beat Everton and now we have beaten Bolton.

"We could have won by more than the 1-0 scoreline because we created many chances."
