Speculation in today's papers suggested a move to Spartak had fallen through as Riera was unable to agree personal terms. However, Rafael Benitez says the out of favour winger is still in talks with the Russian club.
"He is talking with Spartak and we have to wait and see. We are working with the players who will normally be involved here," said the boss.
