Riise confident

With the first leg ending 0-0 any sort of win at Anfield will take the Reds through to the Instanbul final to face either AC Milan or PSV. Riise is confident Liverpool can get the win they desire.

"The game plan in the first leg was to keep a clean sheet, and maybe to nick a goal to take back to Anfield. But if we had been offered 0-0 before the game then we would have taken it, no worries," said the Norwegian.

"We were satisfied with the performance, we kept the ball well and created a few chances so 0-0 was a fair result. But Chelsea are very strong in defence and they can do to us what we have done to them and if they score then the pressure will really be on us.

"We know we have played well against them at Anfield this season and we believe we can score there and stop them scoring. We have to beat them but there are plenty of positives from the first leg and we know we can play better."
