The Liverpool squad will face the biggest game of their careers on Wednesday night when they meet AC Milan in the European Cup final in Istanbul.

Although there may be a few pre-match nerves Riise insists the players will give their all to ensure victory for the supporters.

"We are going to work like lions and fight like tigers," said Riise.
"It's the last game of the season and the biggest of everyone's career so we are going to give it our all.

"Just looking around the lads in training, there's a mentality that there is no way we are going to lose.

"You always want to be able to write history for the team you are playing for and the whole team is now just one game away from doing that.

"We know it will be a hard game but we can't stop thinking that if we do win the Cup it will go down in history. It will be a dream come true for every single player here.

"To have a chance to put myself with some of the big names that have represented this club is beyond my wildest dreams.

"The Champions League is the biggest thing you can win in club football. Just to take part in the final will be the biggest moment of my career."
