Liverpool's John Arne Riise says he is "extremely happy" to have signed a new deal with the club.
Given a contract extension by the club and a tasty pay rise, there's no wonder that the Norwegian is pleased with himself. After some fantastic performances the Liverpool ace has been rightly rewarded, although some claim a new deal was instigated by his agent claiming interest from abroad.
"I'm extremely happy," said Riise. "Liverpool is a massive club and it's definitely going in the right direction, so I am pleased to sign the new deal.
"I did well last year and now I am really pleased to have committed myself to the club until 2007."
