Riise set to face City

The 22-year-old missed Norway's defeat to the Republic of Ireland after suffering a hamstring injury during the Reds 6-0 triumph at West Brom. Riise is a slight doubt but Reds boss Gerard Houllier has revealed that the player looks set to start.

Houllier said: "We are hopeful that he'll be fit."

Jerzy Dudek and Dietmar Hamann should also be fit to play after missing midweek internationals. Czech star Vladimir Smicer, though, could well miss Liverpool's remaining games.
