Riise set to miss final games

The 22-year-old has undergone a scan on a troublesome hamstring injury and manager Gerard Houllier expects that the diagnosis will bring Riise's season to an end.

Houllier said: "It doesn't look good. I think he has pulled his hamstring and I don't think he will be alright."

With Djimi Traore needed at centre-back due to the injury of Stephane Henchoz, it remains to be seen who Houllier will use at left-back.

Jamie Carragher would of course be the favourite, but he is the only right-back currently at the club.
