"It's going to be hard this year, even though we're not giving up, but hopefully next year when the manager and the new players have had another 12 months to settle in we'll be even better. Next season and the ones after that will be the big ones for us I feel.
"Steven Gerrard is a very important player for the team and we need him to stay. But he's said it himself and everyone agrees that we need to win things and show this club is on the up.
"We're all the same as Stevie in that we want to win trophies. That's what we're working hard for every day in training. The training sessions are very good here and I can tell you we are working so hard to get everything right."
