Robson set for six-pointer

The vastly-experienced former England coach fully expects to face a revitalised Anfield team after witnessing the fierce attack on his own players by Gerard Houllier in the wake of a disappointing Carling Cup exit.

Robson said: "We had scout David Mills and coach David Geddis at Anfield on Wednesday night when Liverpool were knocked out of the Carling Cup by Bolton Wanderers but it doesn't help us that Liverpool lost and Gerard Houllier has had a go at some of his players.

"We know that we can go fourth even if it is just until the other teams catch up with us later in the day and that's what we will be trying to do.

"We know it's one of those six-pointers and that it will be very close with one goal deciding it."
