Rooney set to miss Liverpool game

Rooney has resumed training this week and the papers have claimed he is set to make his Man Ure bow against the Mighty Reds tomorrow. However, Ferguson claims the player will not be ready.

"We can't play Wayne until he's been passed by the medical people. He has another meeting with them on Monday which should be the final one. He has no chance of playing against Liverpool. He's been training fine but he's had no contact yet." said Ferguson.
