Rumour Mill: Ayala to sign?

After the Lucas Neill deal fell through, Rafael Benitez is reportedly set to turn to Roberto Ayala. The Argentinian defender played under Benitez during his time at Valencia and helped them win two La Ligas and the UEFA Cup.

Liverpool are reportedly set to offer Ayala a six month loan deal with the possibility of a permanent transfer at the end of it.
