Liverpool's new signing, Josemi, can play all across the back four but is expected to play at right-back for the Reds which could see Finnan surplus to requirements.
According to the People, Rafael Benitez is willing to sell Finnan or even let the player go out on loan to get him off the wage bill. Finnan himself has vowed to fight for his place.
He said: "Am I worried about the arrival of Josemi? Yes and no! It's good competition for everyone. Everyone is under pressure with their position as it's a fresh start with the new manager but whoever he brings in will benefit the squad."
