Rumour Mill: Gerrard staying after all?

Despite all the talk of an end of season move to Chelsea, the word on the street is that the Liverpool skipper is going nowhere.

It is believed that Gerrard mouthed "I'm staying" to the Liverpool crowd after scoring the equaliser against Middlesbrough.

This comes aftert Friday's comments by manager Rafael Benitez, who emphasised the importance of Gerrard to the club's future.

"We want our strongest team for the future, hearing that Chelsea have other targets is good news," he said.

"We know that Steven wants to win with us and he will have the opportunity on Tuesday in the Champions League to do something special against them."
