According to the Sunday Times... Inter have contacted Benitez’s camp to sound out his availability. While he ignored the approach, just as he has done with those so far made by Real, Liverpool’s financial struggles will encourage both clubs to make further overtures.
Apparently it is not the lure of a pay rise that may tempt Benitez, but the assurance of a bigger transfer fund - something that he has insisted he needs to take Liverpool to the next level.
