Rumour Mill: Reds in for Eto'o?

The Cameroon striker has fought his way back into the Barcelona side after coming close to leaving the club last season, and now tops the Spanish goalscoring charts.

His current contract runs out in 2010, but Benitez is apparently keen to swoop for him when the transfer window reopens at the end of this season after receiving reassurances from Tom Hicks that he has the funds available for new players.
