Aimar has become unsettled at Valencia and would relish the opportunity to link up with his former boss Rafael Benitez at Liverpool.
However, Valencia manager Claudio Ranieri insists there is no truth to the latest rumour.
"Aimar is a very important player for us and I do not believe that there is a desire to leave Valencia," he said.
