Rush gives Baros a boost

The Czech striker was substituted after just five minutes of a rare start against Manchester United after Sami Hyypia was sent off. With Michael Owen now fit again, and Emile Heskey seemingly untouchable, Baros may be in for a long and frustrating spell on the sidelines.

Liverpool forwards coach Rush sympathises with Baros's plight, but he believes the 21-year-old must be patient as he will be given the chance to show his undoubted goalscoring prowess.

Rush said: I felt really sorry for Milan Baros after his early substitution. It was the right move but you can understand how disappointed the player must feel.

"He'd waited a long time for his chance, but because of no fault of his own it was all over before he managed to get a kick.

"He must get his head down and another chance will come his way soon.
With two games in three days over Easter, he'll be needed again soon.
Then he can put his Old Trafford experience behind him."
