Rush: Reds ready for Fulham fight

Damaging defeats to Arsenal and Charlton over the Easter programme have left Liverpool's hopes of securing Champions League football on a knife-edge with just a month of the season to go.

Rush knows only too well that Fulham, who still harbour their own European ambitions, must be beaten at Anfield if the Reds' campaign is not to quickly disintegrate.

Rush said: We still have the talent to come through and the motivation to make amends for last weekend should be strong.

"There will have to be a reaction against Fulham on Saturday because any more slip-ups at Anfield really will be costly.

"What the result against Charlton showed, if we don't know already, is anyone can beat anyone in the Premiership. There's no such thing as an easy game anymore, even at home.

"Alan Curbishley's side played like a lot of visiting teams at Anfield over the years. They were well-organised, worked hard and didn't expect to create many chances. But everyone gave their all.

"I'm certain we'll be back nearer the top eventually, but it's up to the lads to prove their class and get us into that top four by winning the last five games."
