Rush to leave Chester?

Rush took over at Chester early in the season and had an immediate effect, lifting the club from a relegation place to mid-table safety. However, recent results have been poor with Chester failing to score in eight of their last ten games.

On Saturday Rush's team were booed off the pitch after a 5-0 home defeat to Shrewsbury who finished 18 points behind Chester in the Conference last season.

Chester chairman Stephen Vaughan has refused to sanction any more transfers after what he sees as a series of poor buys. Vaughan will hold a crisis meeting with Rush and his backroom staff today and his future will be decided over the next 24 hours.
